Student of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory wins the Diploma at The Eurasian Stars International Piano Competition



A third-year student (keyboard faculty), Rashid Rakhimov, class of the People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Gulzhamilya Kadyrbekova, participated in the V International Piano Competition Eurasian Stars held in Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana from April 25 to 28, reached the Final Round and won the Diploma in the only category up to the age of 35.


The Eurasian Stars International Piano Competition, founded in 2017, is the highest level of piano competition for top-performing pianists from all over the world to showcase their skills and abilities organized by the CMDI Group. Nearly 27 participants from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, South Korea and China participated in the first round of this year’s piano competition. After fierce competition and selection, 8 participants from P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, The Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Kazakh National University of Arts entered the finals.


The following outstanding musicians have been selected to be members of the jury of the 2023 Competition: Gulzhamilya Kadyrbekova (Kazakhstan), Nikita Mndoyants (France), Sara Assabayeva (Kazakhstan), Gülsin Onay (Turkey).
