The scientific research of the doctoral student of the Conservatory majoring in «Art-Management» Asel Imae may play an important role in the development of the creative economy in the world



A book of the Asian Development Bank Institute, Tokyo - "Creative Economy 2030: Imagining and Delivering a Robust, Creative, Inclusive, and Sustainable Recovery" came out in light, which includes the article of a doctoral student Assel Imae: “Toward Sustainable Recovery and Inclusive Growth of the Creative Economy in a Post-COVID-19 World.” The research paper was prepared and written in collaboration with the Creative Sparks team.

Creative Economy 2030: Imagining and Delivering a Robust, Creative, Inclusive, and Sustainable Recovery includes insights to help the G20 develop a roadmap to revitalize the creative economy including though stimulation of the digital market.

The article “Toward Sustainable Recovery and Inclusive Growth of the Creative Economy in a Post-COVID-19 World” published in the book by doctoral student Assel Imae was based on a study conducted between February and June 2021, as part of the Creative Sparks project on the topic dedicated to the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the music industry, in particular on the sphere of musical art in Kazakhstan. Bottom line research became the publication of the article: “The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the music industries. Evidence from Kazakhstan” in International Processes (Scopus). Asel Imae, together with the Creative Sparks team (Elena Kalyuzhnova, Olena Khlystova), identified a group of problems caused by the introduction of the quarantine regime. The article contains proposals and recommendations for government agencies aimed at maintaining musical art in Kazakhstan.

The Creative Economy 2030 study includes important information that will be useful to policymakers working to address the impact of COVID-19 in developing Asian countries. It contains recommendations for reviving the creative economy after the pandemic, which will contribute to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals until 2030.
