A student from Zurich has completed her studies at the Kazakh Conservatory

On May 25, 2025, third-year student Lucie Jeanneret, enrolled in the "Musicology" program at our partner institution – the University of Zurich (Zurich, Switzerland) – successfully completed her academic training.
Lucie Jeanneret studied at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory throughout the entire academic year – from September 2, 2024, to May 25, 2025 – as part of a fee-based academic mobility program. During her stay in Almaty, Lucie explored the history and theory of Kazakh music, as well as the works of Kazakhstani composers. She expressed particular interest in studying thematic musical material and works of both folk and authorial music, which, according to her, enabled a deeper understanding of the region’s musical culture and brought her closer to the creativity of its musicians.
Thanks to the academic mobility program, the student not only broadened her professional horizons but also gained valuable cultural experience.
The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory expresses its gratitude to the University of Zurich for their trust, cooperation, and contribution to the development of academic mobility. We sincerely wish Lucie success in defending her thesis back home, continued inspiration, and progress toward new academic heights.
