Competition for participation in the academic mobility program
The International Department of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory announces a competition among 2nd and 3rd year students to participate in the academic mobility program at the expense of the republican budget. The training will take place during the II semester of the current 2023–2024 academic year at partner universities:
Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory (https://www.kazancons.ru/);
Petrozavodsk State Conservatory named after A. K. Glazunov (https://glazunovcons.ru/);
The competition consists of two stages.
Stage I. Compliance with the requirements of personal file documents.
1) Application for study abroad;
2) A questionnaire of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan who goes to study abroad in the prescribed form;
3) Letters of recommendation from the head of the department and the dean of the relevant faculty;
4) A notarized application from parents (and/or spouse) for consent to send a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to study abroad for a period of more than two months (under the age of 18);
5) A copy of the passport;
6) A copy of the transcript.
Stage II. Interview.
To participate in the competition, the staff of the international department form a list of participants whose documents meet the requirements of the I stage.
Candidates are invited to a meeting of the Competition Commission for an interview.
The Commission evaluates applicants according to the following criteria:
§ Students must be 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students;
§ According to paragraphs 7, 9-1, Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 19, 2008 № 613 On Approval of the Rules of referral for Study Abroad, including within the framework of academic mobility and is provided for students under the state educational order);
§ Academic performance for the entire period of study (the current transcript must be provided by the students through the department and the registrar’s office department);
§ Completion of the previous session with grades “A”, “A-“, “B+”, “B”, “B-“;
§ Students should not have academic debt;
§ A brief explanation of the motives of the desire to study abroad (on a five-point scale) from 1 to 5, according to the oral presentation of the applicant in Russian/Kazakh (education will be in Russian at partner universities) and in accordance with the submitted documents;
§ The presence of diplomas of the laureate of national and international competitions and other certificates in the specialty (+1 point for each achievement);
Students should be active participants in the social life of the Conservatory.
Students who do not study on a grant can go at their own expense, if they pass the competition.
The first stage of the competition will be held from 12/11/2023 to 12/14/2023
The second stage of the competition will be held on 12/15/2023 at 14:00 in the conference hall (building A)
