Keimyung University (South Korea) visited Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory
As part of the working trip to Central Asia, a delegation from the Keimyung University visited Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
On June 28, within the framework of the Memorandum on mutual cooperation in the field of education and science, the Keimyung University South Korean delegation was on an official visit at the Almaty Conservatory. The delegation was led by Professor Synn Ilhi (President of the University) and other guests as Dr. Kim Seonjung (Dean of the International Office), Dr. Kim Nanhee (Emeritus Professor of Major in Piano), Dr. Kim Sungwan (Professor of Major in Russian Language and Literature), Kim Jinmyoung (Coordinator of the Center for International Affairs) and Yoon Joonyong (Coordinator of the Center for International Affairs).
During the visit members of the delegation met with Zhaniya Aubakirova, Rector of the Conservatory. Leaders of two institutions discussed the prospects for cooperation, plans for further development, exchange of best practices in the sphere of organizing the international and educational activities.
In honor of the visit of foreign guests a small musical greeting was performed by students of the Conservatory. The South Korean delegation particularly noted the performance of ethno-folklore ensemble "Hassak" (in the photo).
Despite the short-term visit, the parties reached the agreements in the areas for further development between institutions. Both sides highly appreciated the results of the talks and expressed the hope that proposals will be implemented in the subsequent joint projects.
For reference: Keimyung University was founded in 1954. The university located in Daegu, the third largest city of South Korea. Today it represents 3 campuses located in different parts of the city, and 18 faculties, including music, art, medical and philological specializations.
