Lecture "The Otherworld of Nutcracker and the Kingdom of Ballet"
Qazaq Ballet research and creative laboratory together with the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs launches a series of open public lectures "Oner tarbiesi" on the history of choreographic art!
The lecturer will be Damir Urazymbetov — theatrical director, choreographer, PhD in Arts, Associate Professor of the Art Management Department of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Editor-in-Chief of Qazaq Ballet Magazine, Chief Director of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Member of the Culture Council at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation.
Topic of the first lecture: The Otherworld of The Nutcracker and the Kingdom of Ballet
Viewers will hear stories about the emergence of the wooden Nutcracker toy; about the creation of the most famous New Year's score behind the scenes of the Imperial Theatre; about different choreographic interpretations of Tchaikovsky's magical music around the world.
The lecture is an author's text, a collection of colorful and rare archival materials, videos and photographs, accompanied by comments.
