Seminar “The Constitution as a basis for the development of the state and society”

On August 27, 2024, a seminar titled "The Constitution as the Basis for the Development of the State and Society" dedicated to Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the conference hall of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
The event was organized by the faculty of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and became an important platform for discussing the historical role of the Constitution and its significance in the development of Kazakhstan.
In her opening remarks, Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines B.S. Kaldaeva emphasized that the Constitution is the guarantor of internal political stability and the rights and freedoms of every citizen in our country.
A report was presented by Jänibek Qaniyatov, a lecturer at the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and a doctoral candidate at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The speaker discussed the history of the Constitution and the main principles outlined in it.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to interesting facts about the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its significance in strengthening the independent state. The issues of the rule of law, democratic values, and the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms were addressed. Speakers emphasized that the Constitution is the foundational document that ensures the stable development of the country and the protection of the rights of its citizens.
The seminar allowed participants to discuss current challenges and prospects for the development of Kazakhstan's legal system, as well as to take part in a quiz. In her closing remarks, Professor T.M. Satybaldina reiterated the importance of the Constitution and noted that every citizen of our country should contribute to the establishment and development of the state by adhering to the norms prescribed in the Constitution. This event helped to deepen knowledge about the Constitution and increase awareness of its significance in the life of every citizen of the country.
