The presentation of the collection of «Tolkyn Sazy» choral works

On May 5, 2022 the Chamber Hall of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory hosted the presentation of the Collection of «Tolkyn Sazy» choral works for the mixed choir by the conductor, composer, «KR Madeniet salasyn Uzdigі», Associate Professor of the Conducting Department, Galymzhan Karibzhanovich Berekeshev.

This event was organized by the faculty of Vocal, Conducting and Music Education of Kurmangazy KNC and is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize, holder of "Kurmet " and " Parasat " orders, Professor, head of the Conducting Department, Bazargali Azhievich Zhamanbaev.

G.K.Berekeshev’s Collection includes 16 author's adaptations and the same of famous Kazakh folk songs and vocal works by composers of Kazakhstan.

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocal, Conducting and Music Education, Associate Professor, Candidate of Art History, Nusupova, Aizada Sayfullaevna, who in her opening remarks noted that all processing was carried out with a deep knowledge of the patterns of choral writing and its features.

This collection continues a series of works by Berekeshev G.K. in the chosen area. Widely known are his Chrestomathy for the choir "Shabyt tolkynynda" (2012) and "Arnau" (2017), which are very popular among professionals and lovers of choral art.

At the presentation of the "Tolkyn Sazy" collection the "Kazyna" well-known vocal group performed under the direction of Berekeshev G.K. The event was attended by the hero of the occasion – People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Zhamanbaev B.A., teaching staff of the faculty, students, undergraduates as well as guests and participants of the Big and Small Republican subject Olympiad majoring in "Conducting".

All those present had the opportunity to hear the new author's arrangements of Berekeshev G.K. performed by the "Kazyna" vocal group opened by him.
