Meeting with representatives of the French Alliance

On February 2, 2024, the administration of the Conservatory, represented by
Galiya Begembetova, the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Creative Activities and
International Cooperation, and Damir Urazymbetov, the Head of the International
Department, held a meeting with representatives from the French Alliance in
Almaty. 

Present at the meeting were Clara Meysen, Cultural Attaché at the French
Embassy in Kazakhstan; Vivien Fouquet, Executive Director of Alliance
Française; and Zhanna Yestauletova, Administrative Director of Alliance
Française.

The parties discussed opportunities for collaboration, particularly in relation to the
anniversary events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the French Alliance in
Almaty. As part of the events, a creative residency with the violinist Frédéric
Jouhannet and students from the Conservatory is planned, along with a
performance by jazz singer Gabi Hartmann.
