Teachers from the Conservatory gave workshops in Vigo

From April 15 to 19, 2024, as part of an Erasmus+ internship program, teachers from the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory visited the Higher Music Conservatory of Vigo in Vigo, Spain.

During the trip, Korlan Khalilova (violin), Zukhra Zeyngaliyeva (flute), Irina Gavrilenko (piano), and Zhaniya Warren (International Department Manager) participated. Colleagues held meetings with the administration of the Spanish conservatory, conducted workshops, and gave a concert of classical music.

Our teachers noted the high level of preparation of the students participating in the workshops, their responsiveness, and the diversity of the programs performed. The concert of classical music mainly featured works by Kazakhstani composers. The audience particularly appreciated the "Karakemer" kuy by K. Shildebayev, "Yapuray" arranged by A. Tolykpayev, scherzo "Almaty" by A. Nurkenova, Kuy-caprice by Dauletkeriy arranged by Kogan, Three Pieces by V. Novikov, and "Akbakay" arranged by R. Kali

This trip served as a vivid example of strengthening friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Spain, as well as exchanging cultural experiences, including in the sphere of promoting Kazakh national music abroad.
