LEADING POSITIONS OF KURMANGAZY KAZAKH NATIONAL CONSERVATORY IN THE RATINGS OF THE AUTHORITATIVE AGENCIES OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
One of indicators of competitiveness and quality of the higher education is considered to be the participation of higher education institutions in the world academic rankings. In Strategy Kazakhstan 2050: New Political Course of the Established State, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev noted that higher education institutions should seek to enter the ratings of world leading universities.
According to the leading foreign experts, first of all, the "pathway" to global ratings is to be national rankings. The main criteria of assessment indicators of higher education institution are as follows: quality of educational programs, high concentration of talented students, pro-active teachers and researchers, academic mobility, competitiveness of graduates and scientific publications of teachers, MA and Phd students. Annual ratings of higher education institutions of RK based on the directions and levels of experts’ trainings can promote the satisfaction of interests and needs of entrants and their parents.
In 2018 Conservatory passed the National rating of demand for Kazakhstani higher education institutions in the directions and specialists’ training levels from the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), published in the newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya pravda” No. 88 (28717) from May 15, 2018 and on the website IAAR - http://iaar.kz/ru/rejting/rejting-vuzov-2018.

The Conservatory uses the results of given ratings for the qualified analysis and assessment of the higher education institution activity for the purpose of comparison, benchmarking, the competitiveness’ increase, planning and strategic development of higher education system; as the Conservatory instrument for advancement in the world educational space and global academic ratings; for the solution of the Conservatory development strategy tasks.
