What is Bolashak?
The Bolashak International Scholarship is a scholarship established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for full-time education of citizens in leading foreign higher educational institutions for obtaining master's degrees, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), doctor in profile, residency training or internship in foreign organizations by employees whose categories are determined by the Republican Commission on Personnel Training abroad.
In 1993, it was established by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev. The Bolashak International Scholarship has become a kind of guarantor of successful career growth and professional self-realization of graduates.
Who can become the owner of the Bolashak International Scholarship?
Any citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan applying for:
· a master's degree, a doctor of philosophy (PhD), a doctor by profile;
· residency education;
· internships can become a participant in the program
It is important to keep in mind that the international scholarship "Bolashak" is awarded once: for internships, obtaining each degree (Master's degree, PhD, Doctor of Philosophy), residency training.
The purpose of the program is to train personnel and specialists for priority sectors of the country's economy. The program includes both obtaining a scientific degree from higher educational institutions, as well as scientific and industrial internships in leading companies and universities around the world.
To receive a scholarship, you should pass a competition.
In general, the requirements for the applicant are simple — a high average score of a certificate or diploma, knowledge of the state and foreign languages. At the first stage, they check the compliance of all necessary documents, average scores, etc. Then they are tested in foreign and state languages. Testing for the level of knowledge of the Kazakh language is carried out using the Kaztest program, an analogue of TOEFL. After successfully passing the language tests, the applicant is interviewed by representatives of universities, officials from the Ministry of Education and Science and psychologists.
