1. Examination on the theory and history of music. The examination ticket contains three questions:
   • about general music theory;
   • about the history of foreign music;
   • about the Kazakh music history.
2. Defense of a dissertation on the subject of the proposed thesis.
3. Written work (optional):
   • exercise in harmony;
   • simple fugue in three voices;
   • music sheet decoding of a song or audio recording of kui.

Execution time - 4 academic hours
