Masterclasses by Sanzhar Baiterekov in Hong Kong

On March 24-28, 2025, Sanzhar Baiterekov, a lecturer at the Musicology and Composition Department at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, conducted a master class and lecture at the invitation of the leadership of the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Music (HKBU Academy of Music).

Sanzhar Baiterekov is the founder and head of the “Igeru” Contemporary Music Ensemble, an active participant in various academies and festivals of composers around the world. The master class by S. Baiterekov, which was attended by Bachelor's degree graduates and PhD students, became an important step in strengthening international cooperation in the field of education and culture and promoting Kazakh music abroad. In the near future, the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory plans to implement a student exchange program with the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Music.
