History of the department


Kurmangazy national Conservatory is one of the largest centers of higher music education in the Republic. It has a strong pedagogical, performing and scientific potential. One of the leading departments of the Conservatory, which entered the XXI century with a rich spiritual experience, priceless traditions and a huge creative potential, is the Department of "Conducting".

The Department of conducting operates within the framework of the educational program of the specialty 6B02105 - "Conducting" (hereinafter-EP), which sets before the teaching staff (hereinafter- TS) of a modern University the task of forming the student's skills of independent learning, a conscious desire to master new knowledge, to continuously improve the level of their professional qualifications and General culture.

EP has been implemented in the KNK since 1944. Over the years, a galaxy of outstanding performers who have made a huge contribution to the musical performing arts have been prepared for Kazakhstan. The Foundation of the Department of "Choral conducting" begins with the opening of the AGC. Kurmangazy in 1944. In 1958, the Department was joined by Professor, people's artist of the USSR A.V. Molodov (a graduate of the post-graduate program at the Moscow Conservatory under the leadership of People's artist of the USSR, Professor A.V. Sveshnikov). From 1959 to 1989, he was the artistic Director of the Kazakh choral chapel named after B. Baykadamov. from 1978 to 1986, and from 1994 to 1998, A.V. Molodov was the head of the Department.

In the 60s, the teaching staff of the Department included graduates of the Conservatory: B. N. Shestakov, B. S. Kutunov, T. N. Nurymbetov. 1964-1966, the Department is headed by the Honored artist of KAZ.SSR G. E. Vinogradova (a graduate of the Leningrad Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory).

In 1968, a graduate of the Leningrad Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, people's artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor B. A. Zhamanbayev joined the Department. Since 1968, B. A. Zhamanbayev has directed the Opera Studio choir, and from 1969-2008-chief choirmaster and conductor of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay.

Since 1966-1978, the Department is headed by Professor, honored artist of the RSFSR B. M. Lyashko (a graduate of the Leningrad Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory). The Department consists of B. A. Zhamanbayev, L. I. shelepina, T. N. Nurymbetov, I. B. Lebedev, T. M. Alibakieva, K. K. Musina, L. A. Aydarbekova.

From 1992 to 2006, the people's artist of the USSR, Professor A.V. Molodov, directed the student choir of the Conservatory. The choir has gained a "new breath" performed a number of complex programs of choral music: "sacred choral music by Russian composers", "Choral music by composers of Kazakhstan", "Modern Russian composers", "Choral music of the Renaissance" entirely fulfilled Requiem N.Jomelli, Dzh.Verdi, oratorio F.Handel's "Messiah".

2000 – present head of the Department, the Maitre of the Kazakh musical art, people's artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the state prize of the RK, holder of three orders of "Kurmet", "Parasat" and the Golden order them. A. Bytea, Professor B. A. Zhamanbaev.

From 2006 to the present, the student choir is led by the Honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yan Rudkovsky (a graduate of Professor B. A. Zhamanbayev). By this time, a sufficient period has already been taught at the Department by Assoc. K. K. Musina, Assoc. P. K. Negmanova, Assoc. L. I. Yasonova, Assoc. Zh. I. Dzhumabekov.

In 2007, the Department included a section of "Orchestral conducting" headed by the People's artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor T. A. Abdrashev. The Foundation of the Department of Opera and Symphony conducting has been going on since 1967, which was headed by people's artist of the USSR Sh. Kazhgaleyev. In 1992, under the "Historical and theoretical faculty", the Department was transformed into the section of Opera and Symphony conducting. In 1996, the section "Opera and Symphony conducting "became a part of the Department "Compositions". The head of the section was people's artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state prize Winner, Professor T. Abdrashev. The leading teachers of the section were then T. Abdrashev, N. Zharasov, A. Nusupbayev. In the 70s, members of the Department became M. Kalauov, R. Aidos, O. Gotman, Zh. ryskaliev, A. Murzabekov, V. Rutter. Later on the Department was invited to the conductor of the "orchestra of Folk instruments" to them. Kurmangazy Honored worker of RK, Professor Zh. Berendakov, conductors J.Temirgaliev, A. Currently, the Department of Conducting employs many young professionals, with a total of 33 teachers.

Since 2009, within the Republican student subject Olympiad among students of universities of Kazakhstan initiated by the Ministry of education and science, KNC is a Small Olympiad in which students of middle managers in all specialties, including on a speciality "Conducting". During the Small Olympiad, participants have the opportunity to attend open classes and master classes of leading teachers of the Conservatory Department, as well as get valuable recommendations during consultations. The winners of a Small competition will have the advantages among the applicants for admission to the Conservatory, such as: Kuzikeev Renat, Makeev Bogdan, Kulyasova Moldir, Kirill Usoltsev, Aralhan Anar, Baymukhanova Saniya, Galym Marmar, Karlygash Yermekova, Saltanat Shakirova, Iles Meruert, Ondasinova Manshuc, Minzhasarova Galiya etc.

– Berekeshev G. K. – "Madeniet salasynyn uzdigi", the main choirmaster of KSATOB named after Abay, associate Professor;

– Rudkovsky Ya. S. - Honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of the mixed choir of the KNC named after Kurmangazy;

– Yasonova L. I. - "Madeniyet salasynyn uzdigi", winner of the gold medal of the Association of Universities of Kazakhstan named after A. Baitursynov, associate Professor

– Negmanova P. K. - "Madeniet salasynyn uzdigi", associate Professor

Training of students is provided by highly professional teachers who have:

Achievements

The department of conducting is the scientific-research and methodical center of the republic on the problems of education and culture. During the existence of the department, a large number of scientific and methodological literature has been published, which has become the basic material for the educational institutions and choral collectives of the Republic.

2004. Professor Zhamanbayev BazargaliAzhievichwas awarded the Order of "Kurmet";

2006. Professor Zhamanbayev Bazargali Azhievich received the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2008 - the choir team won the title of Laureate and Special Prize at the 6th International Festival of Creative Youth and Students in Crimea.

2009 - the choir team won 2 gold diplomas and a Special Prize at the International Choir Competition Venice in Music 2009 in Venice, Italy.

In 2010, the choir team won the gold medal at the International Choir Games in Shaoxing (China).

2012 - Professor Zhamanbaev B.A, Associate Professor Demeuov B.K, Senior Lecturer Rudkovsky Ya.S. were awarded with medals "20 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

2012 - the choir team won 2 gold diplomas at the Franz Schubert International Choir Competition in Vienna (2012).

2012. Associate Professor Yassonova Lyudmila Innokentievna was awarded the Diploma of the best accompanist of the Republican Choral Music Festival;

2013 - the choir team won the title of laureate of the Republican Choir Competition named after B. Baikadamov.

2014. Professor Zhamanbayev Bazargali Azhievich was awarded the Order. A. Baitursynov;

2014. Associate Professor Yassonova Lyudmila Innokentievna - winner of the gold medal. A. Baitursynov;
